BUSA 3800: Perspectives in Legal Environment of Business (3)

An overview of the legal system with special emphasis on basic contracts; basic laws of real property and personal property; constitutional law; torts; intellectual property; the court system; mediation and arbitration; basic corporations law; ethics; and basic employment law. An advanced study of the law and ethics and an advanced study of property laws affecting business will occur. Reference is made to current legislation affecting business. A student may not receive credit for both BUSA 2810 and BUSA 3800. Pre-requisite: ENGL 1102
