NURS 3330: Cultural and Health Assessment (6)

The course prepares students to conduct culturally sensitive, caring, comprehensive, safe and effective health assessments of diverse populations through the life span. Emphasis is placed on the collection, analysis and interpretation of assessment data, identification of unmet primary prevention and health promotion needs and effective communication. Information literacy and collaboration are also addressed. Laboratory experiences focus on the health assessment of selected clients. Pre-requisites: NURS 1100 or RN licensure.
