NURS 1100: Basic Concepts Essential to Nursing Practice (5)

This course is designed to introduce the novice nursing student to selected skills utilized in nursing practice. Simulation lab experiences as well as provision of client care in an acute care and community setting will be performed by the student applying the concepts of: 1) health promotion/disease prevention; 2) communication; 3) analytic, contextual, and holistic thinking; 4) human caring and relationship; 5) teaching; 6) resource management; 7) leadership; 8) information literacy. Co-requisites: BIOL 2250 and an AREA A math course
