NURS 2130: Care of Maternal/Child Client (5)

This course focuses providing care to women during their reproductive years and for the newborn client in both community-based and acute care settings. Students will be required to provide effective and competent nursing care for this population applying concepts of: 1) health promotion/disease prevention; 2) communication; 3) analytic, contextual and holistic thinking; 4) human caring and relationships; 5) teaching; 6) resource management; 7) leadership; 8) information literacy. Co-requisite: BIOL 2280 Pre-requisite: NURS 1110 with a grade of C or better
