A basic microbiology course emphasizing microbial control, epidemiology, pathogenicity, virulence and a survey of selected human communicable diseases. Live bacteria are utilized in the laboratory for developing skills needed to study and test microorganisms. Pre-requisites: BIOL 1107K and BIOL 1108K or BIOL 2250 and BIOL 2251
