MUED 3210: General Music Methods and Literature (2)

Current music education philosophy and curriculum planning and assessment will be addressed using materials and methods appropriate for young children. Principle education methods, such as Kodaly, Orff, and Dalcroze will be examined and related to general childhood curriculum. Class instruction will also include components of multiculturalism and technology in education. Field experiences (30 hours) will allow for practical training in classroom management. Pre-requisite: MUSC 1310 and MUSC 1002 with a grade of D or better
