Peace Corps Preparatory Program

In 2011 North Georgia in conjunction with the U.S. Peace Corps established a Peace Corps Preparatory Program. While completing the requirements of the program does not guarantee admission into the Peace Corps, it does prepare students for service in the organization. More importantly, by completing the program it reveals previous thought and long-term intent to join the Peace Corps.

The program consists of 8 courses and an additional experience in community service, volunteer service, internship, or study abroad opportunities. Optional coursework above and beyond the requirements will make your application more competitive. In order to better prepare for completing the requirements successfully, you are encouraged to apply during your sophomore year.
