ENGL 2132H: Honors American Literature II (3)

The class provides a thematic introduction to the development of American Literature since the end of the Civil War. We will study texts from the past century and a half that reveal issues of American identity. In light of these texts, we will consider the ways in which identity is impacted by culture, gender, and class and by political, spiritual and material factors. Pre-requisite: ENGL 1102 or ENGL 1102H with a grade of C or better
