POLS 4205: Eastern European Politics (3)

This course provides a brief history of the entire area, an in-depth study of Eastern Europe's geographical location between the two traditionally ambitious countries of Russia and Germany and its consequences and a study of nationalism and its effects. An examination of the differences between Slovophilies and Westerners in Russian politics, a study of communism, and a look at the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Pre-requisite: POLS 1101 or POLS 1101H
