This course examines the concepts, theories and research that support effective instruction. A primary focus of this course will be the composition of developmentally appropriate strategies and assessments. Middle level candidates in this course will work on creating inquiry- based strategies that motivate students to learn. In addition, candidates will assess their own performance and impact on the instructional process. Pre-requisite: Admission to Teacher Education Program
