ISCI 2001: Earth & Life Science (3)

This is an integrated physical science content and laboratory course for pre-service teachers (grades K-5). The scientific content to be covered will encompass the concepts required for successful delivery and assessment of the Georgia Performance Standards for grades K-5. Specifically, this content will be centered around the following topics: Habits of Mind, the Nature of Science, Reading in Science, Astronomy, Geology, Ecosystems and Energy (Biological Applications), Interdependence of Life, Evolution, Biodiversity, Classification, Cells and Cell Systems and Heredity. Pre-requisite: ISCI 2002 Restricted to Early Childhood Education/Special Education majors
