A study of the natural systems that shape our physical environment and the resultant spatial patterns discernable on Earth's surface. The course explores atmospheric processes, climate, hydrology, distribution of soils and life forms, land-forming processes and the distribution and characteristics of certain recognized landform types. The intent of the lab is to give students practical experience in making observations, performing measurements and calculations, interpreting physical phenomena, drawing conclusions and reporting the results of the activities. This course may be used to fulfill part of the non-science major requirement in Core Area D.
