A study of both Elizabethan and Jacobean Shakespeare. This course will include selections from Shakespeare's Comedies, Histories, Tragedies, Romances, and Poetry. The focus of the course will be upon historical backgrounds and the major interpretive approaches. Pre-requisite: ENGL 2050, ENGL 2230 and one ENGL 2100-level literature course, all with a grade of B or better.
