ENGL 3175: Poetry Writing Workshop (3)

This course will focus on the writing of poetry and/or fiction (focus will vary with semester/instructor). Students will read and analyze a variety of published poetry, as reading in the genre is the key to understanding the craft. Workshops of student wiring will comprise more than half the course; students will read and critique one another's work as a means of honing critical skills in reading, understanding, and writing poetry. Pre-requisite: ENGL 1101, ENGL 1102, ENGL 2275 and a 2100-level lit class with a grade of C or better
