ENGL 2660: Introduction to Film Studies (3)

Through readings, screenings, and discussion, this course provides an introduction to the history and the art of film. The class focuses on a body of information and concepts for students to learn and apply to the films screened during the semester. Study and application for this course will include extensive readings, essays, and exams. Much of the class is based on viewing films, and students are expected to analyze films as literary texts. Pre-requisite: ENGL 1102
