Mountain Laurels Practicum II provides instruction and supervised practice in the publishing of Mountain Laurels: The NGCSU Art & Literature Magazine. Mountain Laurels was founded in 1995 by Dr. Brian J. Corrigan and Dr. Sally Allen. Its missions is display the creative work of NGCSU students, including poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and art. The magazine is a recognized student organization, published by our students, for our students. The course offers first-hand experience in the publishing of a magazine, including evaluating submissions and working with Adobe InDesign software. Pre-requisites: Three English and/or Art classes. Pre-requisite: ENGL 1102 with a grade of C or better
