This Vista course introduces RN-BSN students to the theory, application, technical skills and the process of integrating nursing informatics into professional nursing practice. Students will create documents and assignments which will integrate nursing information theory and skills into both the content and mode of learning. The principles of learning styles, adult learning, and critical thinking will be incorporated and applied to the learning environment. Leadership competencies related to ethical and management issues include accountability, client confidentiality and privacy, quality assurance and documentation in the use of selected applications.
