ENGL 3320: Caribbean Literature (3)
Lecture: 3, Lab: 0, Other: 0
This course examines how Caribbean authors represent Caribbean culture and experiences across time and place. This is not to say, however, that these are monolithic representations. Rather we will analyze texts by men and women from several different Caribbean islands. Additionally, we will read appropriate works of theory and criticism and analyze how these theories can be applied to the primary texts for the course. Pre-requisites: ENGL 1101 and ENGL1102 as well as a 2100-level literature survey course.
