The purpose of this course is to introduce the scope of practice for nurse educators and the influence of state and national health policy on nursing education, Current evidence-based topics may include faculty and student role and responsibilities, ethical and legal considerations, and conflict resolution.. An introduction to North Georgia College & State University (NGCSU) Department of Nursing Philosophy and Conceptual Framework and the Master of Science (MS) Educator competencies and outcomes will be included. Leadership and involvement in professional nursing education organizations are also introduced.
