This course addresses contemporary issues in middle and high school science education. Topics covered include: local, state and federal standards, national reform efforts, technology in instruction, teaching by inquiry, international comparisons of student achievement, alternative assessment strategies, teaching and learning styles and metacognitive teaching/learning strategies.
